Topic of Discussion: Update on Alzheimer's disease

Dr. Gisele Wolf-Klein will share new therapeutic approaches for Alzheimer's disease and she will outline a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to the management of Alzheimer's disease.

Topic of Discussion: Understanding Behaviors and How to Respond

Ms. Snow will discuss the difference between dementia and normal aging. Through the use of interactive role playing she will demonstrate typical brain changes and behaviors that accompany Alzheimer's disease and related memory disorders.

Topic of Discussion: Elder Law and Long Term Care Insurance

Vincent J. Russo, Esq., and Ms. Susan Malise, will discuss the importance of having a long term care plan in place.
Mr. Russo is a nationally recognized author, lecturer and authority on Elder Law. He will focus on Medicaid and planning strategies to pay for long term care.
Ms. Malise will review the basic features of the New York State Partnership and will touch on the cost of Long Term Care Insurance in the metro New York area.
Time will be allotted for a Q & A session.

Mr. Weintraub will discuss behavior modification techniques that will improve coping skills. Attendees will "learn how to go from a state of anxiety and depression to one of happiness, hope and productivity."
