AALI/St. Joseph's College Training Curriculum for
Professional Healthcare Providers
For the past two and a half years, alzheimer's association long
island has been working to develop a NYS Certified Training curriculum
for professional healthcare providers. During this timeframe, the
NYS Legislature saw the need to develop guidelines for Adult Care
Facilities and Assisted Living Residences and passed this legislative
initiative in 2004. As a result of this legislative initiative,
a New York State Task Force has been created to provide guidance
with regard to the new licensing requirements. Our Executive Director
and CEO, Mary Ann Malack-Ragona, has been appointed to this Task
Force and clearly recognizes that staff training is going to be
a large part of the new licensing regulations for Adult Care Facilities
& Assisted Living Facilities. Learn More
